Any chance you get to take a drive around the Hudson Valley will not fail to impress! The scenic landscape is remarkable all year round. While the Fall season is most popular, the Springtime offers fruit trees, blooming tulips, and a mesmerizing sea of green, green grass. In addition, the itineraries that we have pulled together provide a wonderful gallop through the countryside while you're in search of tasty eateries, local wineries, and fabulous historic houses.
To give you an idea of distances, I've listed several villages and towns that make a great daytripping experience:
Millbrook- 30 minutes away to the east just off the Taconic State Parkway. Shops, restaurants, Millbrook Winery, Trevor Zoo, and Innisfree Gardens
Hudson- 25 minutes to the north. Antiques, restaurants, Olana State Historic Site.
Saugerties- 20 minutes to the northwest just up the NYS Thruway. Small shops, restaurants, Saugerties lighthouse.
Roundout in Kingston- 20 minutes to the west just over the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge. Boardwalk of shops, restaurants, dock for Hudson River Cruises.
