The Hudson Valley is home to a variety of well-known homes,
museums, and mansions. From the Southern border of Dutchess
County to the Albany Capital Region, you can find a number of
beautifully restored landmarks. We have identified a few of our favorites

Rich in history, natural beauty and historic sites, the Hudson River
Valley is the perfect destination for a day trip or an extended visit any
time of the year. See the breathtaking views of the Hudson from the
Gilded Age mansions dotting its shores.  
Wilderstein offers a glimpse
into the high society of the 1800s and the house tour includes a brief
history of the landscaping design as well. A memorable tour lasting
about 45 minutes. Nearby, you will find Staatsburg and the
Mills
Mansion. Explore the grounds and hike along the river to Norrie-Mills
State Park. This makes for a great lazy afternoon walk. Pack a few
sandwiches and you can picnic along the Hudson.

Take a look inside the lives of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt while
touring their country homes and see the
Roosevelt Library which
contains extensive displays and interactive exhibits.  Tours of
The
Roosevelt Home, Val-Kill, and the Roosevelt Library can fill your
weekend and leave you inspired.

And while visiting Hyde Park, stop by the
Vanderbilt Mansion.
