Who we are.

Our entire home contains 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Four bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, are conveniently located on the Eastern side of the house, and are reserved strictly for guests. The other half of the house is reserved for the Meltzer Family.

I begin the 9th year of Innkeeping. A journey that now includes 2 children, a dog, and a successful career. Originally from a small, upstate town called Marathon, I moved to Rhinebeck with my husband Philip, and purchased The Looking Glass with a desire to build not just a career but a lifestyle. We have been successful and we are fortunate to live in a beautiful home with an active community that continues to flourish.

What we do.

While Philip works outside of the home, I am the sole innkeeper. Along with Connor, age 6, who helps greet guests and clear the breakfast table, and Molly, age2, who flashes a charming smile and is heard giggling in the backyard, we are able to share our home and support local businesses. We are committed to sourcing our food locally and allowing the seasonal bounty to influence our breakfast table and the foods we choose to serve. From Harney & Sons teas in our Butler's Pantry to local, organic bacon on our breakfast table we are privileged to highlight the bounty of the Hudson Valley.
