The Looking Glass is located in
Rhinebeck Village (click for map)
and is easily accessible from the
NY State Thruway at exit 19.
Follow signs to Kingston-Rhinecliff
Bridge.
Go to the second traffic light after
the bridge.
Take a right on to Route 9G.
Go to the next traffic light and make
another right on to Route 9 South
which will take you past the
Dutchess County Fairgrounds on
the left.
Go to the third street past the
Fairgrounds and make a left on to
Chestnut Street.
We are on the right side of the
street almost to the end of the block.
From NYC take Amtrak to the
Rhinecliff Station and take a 4 mile
taxi ride to The Looking Glass.

Traveling on the Taconic State Parkway from
the South, exit at Bulls Head Road. Make a
LEFT at the first stop sign and a LEFT (West)
on Bulls Head Road at the second stop sign.
Continue until you reach Route 9G. Take a
Right for less than a mile, then turn Left onto
Violet Hill Rd. Travel to the end and then turn
Left onto Route 308 (Market Street). This will
bring you into Rhinebeck Village. At the Red
Light, take a Right and travel 2 blocks to
Chestnut Street. Turn Right and continue about
3/4 of the way down the first block. Just pass
the Inn, there is a driveway with 2 parking lots.

the North, exit at Red Hook/ Pine Plains. Take
a Right towards Rhinebeck (Rt 199). Bear left
at the fork in the road (Rt 308).This will bring
you into Rhinebeck Village. At the Red Light,
take a Right and travel 2 blocks to Chestnut
Street. Turn Right and continue about 3/4 of
the way down the first block. Just pass the Inn,
there is a driveway with 2 parking lots.
the North, exit at Red Hook/ Pine Plains. Take
